Hi, I'm Ola.
The ginger one on the left is me. I am a Berkshire-based photographer and retoucher with over 15 years of experience behind the lens. While I draw inspiration from the aesthetics of high-end fashion and celebrity editorials, my heart has always been with people.
To me, portraiture is magical. It isn't just about the click of a shutter - it is about relationship, connection, and trust. Through my practice, I actively challenge the myth of "being photogenic". I firmly believe that with masterful lighting and the right guidance, everybody turns out naturally beautiful in a photo.

The story behind the project
I created the above portrait six years ago, shortly after my grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. As a family, we knew her journey ahead would be difficult, and that treatments would change her and her appearance. So, we decided to capture her, along with the entire family - her true legacy, in a portrait that would preserve her essence, her smile, and the vibrant woman she was.
We wanted to create a true heirloom: a timeless piece of art we could cherish for years to come.

We dedicated a full day to the a studio, turning the photoshoot into an unforgettable family experience. Despite avoiding cameras her whole life, my grandmother embraced the moment.
She had a wonderful time, proving that even the most camera-shy among us can feel comfortable, valued, and confident during a photoshoot.

Unveiling that portrait brought tears to my grandfather's eyes—a vulnerability I had never seen before. It was then I understood the true weight of this photograph.
Now that my grandmother has passed, that photograph is no longer just an image; it is a vessel for my memory of her, cherished more deeply with every passing year.

This experience became the foundation of my new photography project, which goes beyond traditional family portraits.
Now, I want to offer other families this same opportunity: to create portraits that celebrate all living generations. It is a chance to not only document your legacy but to honor the bonds that span from grandparents to grandchildren.
It's a portrait that celebrates everyone equally—a modern, timeless heirloom for your family.
